1976 Gretsch G7612 Roc Jet. Red finish top on a walnut finish back, thumb print position markers, zero fret, two volume, two tone, master volume, three way toggle selector, G tailpiece and high gain Gretsch Super'Tron pickups. Weighs in at 8 lbs. 8 oz. Here we have an all original Red Roc Jet manufactured in February 1976. Some typical buckle rash and buckle worming on the back with the expected minor dings, marks and finish chips on the back, sides and back of the neck; quite clean on the front with just the usual player's wear you would expect on a 33 year old, but no noticeable dings. A previous owner has impressed his initials into the underside of the neck near the pickguard and a band name lightly scratched into the tailpiece, neither apparent unless you are looking for them. It's just had a service and set up and plays very nicely with big output and monster tone from the Super'Trons. Comes in the original shaped Gretsch tolex case. The case well worn, with gaffer tape on the edges, the odd broken latch and a replacement handle, but it does the job. A very cool rock Roc Jet.
